Node (non ode) to IPhones

If I were King


I would ban IPhones so people could start living their lives
not to impress others
or show the world.


And so they would start seeing the earth around them
not through facebook eyes
but through their own.


And so their necks wouldn't ache of being bent all the time
They'd stand a little bit taller
Heads up, arms down.


And so the millions wouldn't slowly become quazi moto.
as their backs are arched over their phones.
eyes down every moment. 


And so they could have a decent conversation
without the rude interruptions of a thousand others
at the palm of their hands.


And so to save their hands from carpal tunnel
Let those little fingers stretch
and hold a thousand more things


And so they could enjoy the world and adventures
and look up at the sky
and remember God still lives up there
