Goodnight

Goodnight to the wind, dancing with the leaves;
Tonight only leave a gentle breeze.
Sleep blissfully in the cherry trees
And in the morn, be on your way to the wild blue seas.

Goodnight to the willow, whispering words;
Fold up your leaves and cuddle the birds.
When twilight comes, then begins your sweet dirge
Thoughts wander far and souls are stirred.

Goodnight to the bird, in your feathery bed;
Fold up your wings, visit dreamlands in your head.
Tomorrow may it bring a honey summer and faery bread
But this night, let the moon shine its silver overhead.

Goodnight to the faery, splashed in rosy fragrance;
Clad in flowery buds and a sunshine kiss.
Have dreamy moon flights with your handsome faery prince
Bathed in the sparkles and its beams of radiance.

Goodnight to the mermaid in her coral reef;
Amid the shadowy castles of the deep.
As the sun dips into the glittering sea
This starry eyed soul retreats to her willowy cove to sleep.
